Banana cupcakes
We attempted our first baking session of banana cupcakes the last bank holiday weekend. It was easier than I thought and the end product was edible within an hour plus. I am sure we will get faster and maybe can be more adventurous with our next round :)

Church farm
While looking for things to do for weekends in Liverpool, I discovered a superb website called www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk. Through this website I found several nearby farms that we could visit and one that sounded the best was Church Farm (it seemed very similar to Farmer Ted's, a farm we went with D and M). Although we had to pay an entrance fee, it included a few activities so we decided to make a trip there today. Thank God for the weather and we had a superb few hours!!
Your dada nearly broke the tractor :)
Highland cows!! Showing you our roots in Scotland
The guinea pig was really frightened to be on your lap
Patting a chick
This was probably your favourite ride
Edmund Garner ship
It is nice to do something different in the weekends where both of us don't need to work. So, last weekend, we went aboard the Edmund Gardner, one of Liverpool's pilot ship. We thought of a 'sea' theme with your recent fascination and craze for Octanauts and sharks!!

Octanauts
'Sam Yi' and 'Sai Yi' introduced you to 'Octanauts' the weekend they were here and since then you have been asking for it everyday!! It has become your favourite show :) It's quite educational and teach lots about sea animals. We too learn and now know that there are 'Narwhals', 'pilot fish' and 'Beluga whales'.
There's one episode about 'cookie-cutter sharks' which you totally love as it's one of the species of sharks in your 'sharks' book. You totally made me laugh at 4am one night when you woke up crying and said that the 'cookie-cutter shark' bit your finger :) I woke your daddy up there and then to tell him your dream.

Paper Toss - Apple version
Laughing and getting amused by you getting the giggles by hitting the man with a tomato/tin can/ banana/paper must surely be a bad thing?
Sea Odyssey Street Theatre
Liverpool must be one of the few cities where there has been 'giants' street theatre 2 years in a row. Last year was a spider that spanned nearly a whole building, and this year, it was a 'diver', a 'little girl' and a 'dog'. The 'play' was called 'Sea Odyssey' and it was to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the sinking of Titanic. They were HUGE!! It was a real story, about the girl who wrote a letter to her dad who was on the Titanic. Unfortunately her dad never received it and the letter was brought back to her by her uncle, the diver. I was half asleep and extremely tired as I was on call the night before, but thought the whole experience was worth it. It was much better than I thought, especially the dog.
I did promise you that we were going to see the giant little girl and you were really excited. But, you were quite scared of her when she arrived. You really enjoyed the dog too, especially his bathing time. When the girl came to do exercises, you refused to look at her :) I wonder what would have happened if we saw the diver too? He was apparently the height of the building (30 feet tall). I was too tired to stay until he arrived, as I needed some sleep before working that night again.
Your numerous expressions throughout the parade. Of course daddy had to carry you as I was vertically challenged and was struggling to get a good view myself :)
