Ice cream farm
In the weekend back in Liverpool, we told you we were going to a farm and you said 'I don't want to go to fruit farm' :) This farm is famous for its home-made ice cream but at least there were a few animals and a huge playground!! A nice day out, but cut short by the rain.
Olympic fever
We also went to London to experience the Olympic mad rush of people :)
Unfortunately I didn't get any tickets for any events. But, we still went to the
Olympic park to soak in the atmosphere while the others went to watch
the badminton game (Ming got tickets). There was an amazing Lego replica of the Olympic stadium filled with 'audience' of all the different figurines from Lego inside Westfield shopping centre. Really cool. However, don't think your 'dada' enjoyed getting stuck in all the traffic and queues.

Gong gong and popo visits
We drove to London 2 weeks after coming back from Malaysia to pick Gong gong and popo back to Liverpool. You were so excited to see them, 'sam yi' and 'uncle Justin'. We went to a farm and you said you wanted to see cows, goats etc. We tried to explain that we were going to a fruit farm but you didn't seem to understand and was really disappointed that there were no animals :) You did get the hang of it after a while and got carried away picking everything that you see. The fruits were great!! I've never ate such huge, sweet and juicy blackberries in my life.

Post-holiday blues
| Passing time in Heathrow's children's play area |
It was a big change to have constant attention and love from both sets of grandparents, great-grandaparents, cousins, all the ah Yis, suk suk and sum sum for 2 weeks, to just the 3 of us and nursery from 9-6 when we came back to UK. Your carers in nursery said you were very subdued for a few days and you were quite cranky in the evenings. For 2 weeks, you woke up screaming a few times at night shouting 'I don't love you mummy/dada' or 'I don't want you' and will push us away. We have both have not seen you in that state and it was really heart-breaking as there was not much we could do. We wonder if you subconsciously blocked us away as your coping mechanism. Whatever it was, thank God that came to an end you adapted to life back in UK.

Sun, Sea and Sand for a day
| Your grip on the 'seat belt' on the boat journey |
We always look forward to the beach when we go back to KK. We thought we'll be there every other day but unfortunately brought the rain with us from UK back to KK as it rained every evening, EXCEPT the day we made a trip to Pulau Manukan. Even on that day, it rained in the city, but the sun was thankfully shining on the island. It was difficult to initially get you on to the sand as previous times, and then it became difficult to get you to leave.
Green peace activist in the making
You have always loved sea creatures (perhaps influenced by Octonauts?). So you were excited about all the different fish, crabs, shells, and prawns in a seafood restaurant in Malaysia.
This is mouth watering for most of us. BUT, when you saw this, you cried 'I WANT PRAWNS TO SWIM!!' again and again and cried and cried, refusing to eat and wanting to bring the prawns back to the tank. Richard had to bring you to the tank and explain that 'black prawns' swim, and 'orange prawns' are for eating, going to and fro the dinner table and the tank to demonstrate that there were still life prawns available :) When the fish came, you cried 'I don't want to eat fish with eyes', although not with as much distress as with the prawns.
Saying this, you ate 8 prawns at dinner (all without the head of course) and said you love to eat prawns ;)

'Yee Yi's' wedding
We flew back to Malaysia for the 2nd time this year for Yee Yi's wedding. As usual, you had the time of your life playing and getting pampered by everybody back in Malaysia. It was 'take 2' for being the page boy and this time around, you did walk down the aisle after some coaxing. Perhaps you were older?
Unfortunately I do not even have a single photo of the wedding, so will be eagerly awaiting the official photographs!!
