Developments

There seems to be 'less' developments now, then when you were less than a year old. But, you're probably learning things that are not very obvious to us, and us not realising it. Some obvious ones few weeks ago are:

I wish I could spend more time with you, teach you more things, read to you or play with you. But, we can't always have our cake and eat it too. Thank God we have the weekends.

Joy at the end of my day

This is the best therapy for tiredness, stress, and frustrations after a long hard day at work.

I do wonder what tickle you so much sometimes. Just thank God for such cheerfulness

Readjusting back into clinical practice

Thankfully I survived the first week back into the clinical job. I did expect it to be hard but, there's going to be LOTS of adjustments to be made. The biggest of all is the amount of time I get to spend with you, due to the travelling to and from Chester, and the on calls. You melted my heart throughout this week by running towards me with open arms everytime I opened the main door. I guess we really really do miss each other. I suppose there won't be much time for blogging either. It's Monday again tomorrow.

Happy New Year 2011

I think I'm officially 'old' when I enjoy welcoming in the new year watching the BBC live telecast of the London fireworks countdown in the comforts of home, and reminiscing about the past year. Thank you Jesus, for all the good and bad times of 2010, and for always being faithful. Help me continue to trust You with major decisions and believe that You have the best plans for us :)

We celebrated new year's day with a sushi dinner, when all gathered home (as younger siblings were enjoying the partying and being among the thousands getting squashed out in the cold, in Manchester and London). You were ecstatic and squeeled in delight when you saw them again as you probably thought they have left. Well, it will be like that soon as they have to go back to work and uni, and we have to go to work. Thank God 'gong gong' and 'popo' will still be here for another month, and 'Ye yi' is coming!!

First date

My parents insisted that Richard and I took the opportunity to go out for a proper dinner before I started clinical work again. So we went for our first date on 30th Dec, since you were born. It felt like old times when we ate out so often and talked lots over dinner, but also really 'weird' with not having you around and missed your presence. We did have an enjoyable time though.

My baby sister is all grown up

We also celebrated my baby sister's 19th birthday after Christmas and she's telling people she is 20 now. I so clearly remember her when she was a baby, and now she is entering her twenties. A reminder that time does past very quickly and I have to cherish every single moment of you growing up.
