Sea Odyssey Street Theatre

Liverpool must be one of the few cities where there has been 'giants' street theatre 2 years in a row.  Last year was a spider that spanned nearly a whole building, and this year, it was a 'diver', a 'little girl' and a 'dog'.  The 'play' was called 'Sea Odyssey' and it was to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the sinking of Titanic.  They were HUGE!!  It was a real story, about the girl who wrote a letter to her dad who was on the Titanic.  Unfortunately her dad never received it and the letter was brought back to her by her uncle, the diver.  I was half asleep and extremely tired as I was on call the night before, but thought the whole experience was worth it.  It was much better than I thought, especially the dog.

I did promise you that we were going to see the giant little girl and you were really excited.  But, you were quite scared of her when she arrived.  You really enjoyed the dog too, especially his bathing time.  When the girl came to do exercises, you refused to look at her :)  I wonder what would have happened if we saw the diver too?  He was apparently the height of the building (30 feet tall).  I was too tired to stay until he arrived, as I needed some sleep before working that night again.

Your numerous expressions throughout the parade.  Of course daddy had to carry you as I was vertically challenged and was struggling to get a good view myself :)

Imaginative Home

You recently love to build your 'fortress' using ALL our cushions.  I don't know how you manage to pile all the cushions onto the sofa while still on the sofa.  Somehow you will hide underneath it all and say 'Don't disturb Isaac, I'm sleeping'.  If only you could learn to sleep on your own like this :)  Unfortunately this 'sleep' lasts only a minute long before you say 'Isaac is up now!!!'

Conversations with Isaac

Your version of nursery rhymes

'Hickory dickory dock, Isaac went up mummy (I'm the clock and you will climb up to my shoulders), the clock struck one, Isaac went down (and you'll climb down), hickory dickory dock'
I'll be totally exhausted and trampled on after 2-3 times of this
'Humpty Isaac sat on the wall, humpty Isaac had a great fall ('falls' from the sofa arm rest), all the kings horses and all the kings men, come to put Isaac together again'
'10 little Isaac jumping on the bed, 1 fell down and bump his head.....(jumps non-stop on the sofa)'

Your comments when on the 'throne'

'Isaac poo-poo stuck in bum-bum, need to push so hard'
'Isaac poo-poo like sausages, but can't eat it'
'Sausages poo-poo become like snake'

Some of your 'smart' remarks

'Coffee for adults, Isaac cannot drink coffee'
'Dada wait, can't go yet, mummy and Isaac not yet ready' (When in the car and I'm buckling you up)
'Dada/mummy must watch out!! No crashing!!  Cars need to take turns' (When one of us driving)
'Come, Isaac show/teach you.. It's like this, NOT like that'

Never a dull moment with you around :)  Thank God for such a blessing!!

'Head prize'

There were 11 of us who went to Chester at Easter and the bird chose you. The aim was really good too as it was smack on the centre of your head!! Poor you but we all could not stop laughing. I'm still smiling now as I'm writing this :)

Didn't realise that bird poo was SO STICKY!!

Easter weekend break

After spending the long weekend with Sam Yi, Sai Yi and everybody else, I will say that I don't want you to be an only child, Isaac. It is so fun to have siblings, especially when we are now grown up. 'Fighting' when we were young was fun too ;)

Ye yi, wish you were here!!
You really thrive when there're visitors and as usual had the ball of a time entertaining and being entertained.

'Wakey wakey'

You have refused to nap in the weekends at home over the past few months. So, it will either resort in you crashing out at about 6pm, or in us going for a drive so that you'll fall asleep.

Spell of good weather

It's supposed to only be the beginning of spring but we had a few superb summery weather where the temperature was as high as 20 degrees. Sunny days should never be wasted and so we went to feed the ducks in the park, and enjoyed some sun shine. But, everybody has the same idea and the floor was full of bread as the ducks were too full :)

Me: Let's go feed the ducks
Isaac: Ducks don't want bread anymore

'Lip-smackingly good ice-cream - you finished the whole cone'
