Chinese New Year 2012
It was a quiet affair as I was working the weekend. We did 'celebrate' by going to our favourite chinese restaurant for dinner, just the 3 of us on the first day of new year.

3 week rendevouz
We went from KK, to Gentings, to KL, then Singapore, then back to KL before flying back to Liverpool. It was not the most relaxing holiday but we certainly had lots of fun.

It was your KK 'kupos' that told us about an interesting exhibition of about 150 bears in Pavillion. So, after bidding bye to 'Yeh-yeh', 'mah-mah', 'po-tai' and all the 'kupos' in KL, we brought you to see the bears to cheer you up.
Surprisingly had no fear for snakes, or any of the animals
Elephant ride - bumpier than I thought
Yi Yee's new home
Swimming in Tanjung Aru - You kept wanting to 'swim' on your own
In Gentings, Richard and I relived our childhood by going on all the kiddie rides with you. Super kiasu us wanted to make best use of the all day pass so we went on all the rides that you could go on, and for many times. Your favourite was the red 'James' train ride. I think we went on that about 5-6 times :) We also finally managed to cajole you to ride the horse on the merry-go-round.

'Yi Yee' missed you lots, and we were also quite free, so we took a last minute trip to Singapore. I learnt how to entertain you on road trips :) 'Let's look for blue car!' 'Let's count the trucks' etc...

Congratulations 'Suk suk' and 'Sum sum'
The ushering in of 2012 was overshadowed by Richard's brother's wedding. Celebrations of the wedding started on New Year's Eve with a family dinner. You and S became best of friends very quickly. The highlight of the night for you was the wedding car (not surprising considering your love for toy cars). You kept wanting to sit inside the car, but unfortunately was disappointed.

We dressed you in a vest and shirt on the morning of the wedding. You had your first role of opening the car door for 'suk suk' and 'sum sum' when they arrived back in the Kia house. You excitedly did it (anything to get near the car perhaps?).

After everybody had left in the afternoon, I tried my best to put you down for a nap but efforts were futile, including driving around for 2o minutes. I was so disappointed as knew you will be cranky for the wedding ceremony. I just had to pray that you will not be moody, and will still walk down the aisle as the ring bearer.
We were also worried that you will not put on your whole 'costume' but thankfully you wore the whole tux bit by bit :) As expected, you slept on the way to the hotel, and I had to wake you up after 20 minutes. To my disappointment, you cried when the procession started and refused to walk down the aisle. Well, maybe you were too tired, or maybe you were terrified by the hundreds of strangers looking at you? You were a star at the rehersal though. Its OK my boy, you are only 2 and can't expect you to understand everything that was happening :)

It was the most beautiful sunset garden wedding. Thank God for such beautiful weather (which was a miracle as it had been raining every evening in KK for months, except for the wedding day and day before when rehersals took place). I just realised that I only have a handful of photos of the wedding and not even a single shot with the bride and groom. Oh well, all in the hands of the professionals :)

After 31.5 hours...
This was our longest journey for a route that we are very familar with. Thank God for in-flight entertainment and a play area in Abu Dhabi. But, all was worth it for the amazing 3 weeks holiday we had.

Think you melted their hearts when you called 'Yeh Yeh' and 'Mah mah' at the airport. Thankfully you settled into Malaysia weather with no problems (but was jetlagged and slept at 3am).

Your dada's truck (on right) is 30 years old, and you loved it
Christmas Day 2011
My christmas tree wish was found in our common hallway, as it was cosily decorated with a rocking chair and cushions by the fireplace, and a 10 feet tree (with santa on top).
Controlling Wilson - Thank you 'Sai yee and uncle TK)

Thomas the Tank
You have somehow switched from liking Chuggington to Thomas the Tank. You know the names of all the trains (popo is really baffled by them and am not sure if you're telling the truth ;)) and love one of the Thomas songs 'Never never give up'. I love it too. We can hopefully bring you to Thomas Land in spring next year. Because of this Thomas craze, you have Thomas puzzles, books, pajamas, sweater and underwear!!
